On June 28th, the beautiful setting of the Botanical Garden of Padua was home to the prize-giving of the Venetian Smart Lighting Award 2018. This award competition, now in its third edition, is promoted by the Luce Veneto Business Network, in collaboration with the University of Padua and in particular with it Interdepartmental HIT (Human Inspired Technologies) Research Centre.
Despite the competition of many companies in the smart lighting sector, Vimar was awarded the prize for the best product in the smart home category. The prize was assigned specifically for Vimar's new wireless command system with Bluetooth technology, conceived to open a new era in lighting.
Boasting design in line with the company's high aesthetic standards, and perfectly compatible with the Eikon, Arké and Plana civil series, the new Bluetooth command technology is wireless, battery-free, needing no wired connections and requiring no masonry work for installation on any surface, even on glass or wooden walls. Its technology is also perfectly integrated with that of devices produced by other leading companies in the lighting sector which have adopted the Xicato and Casambi technologies.
This new Bluetooth is part of View, Vimar's vision of the digital world and the Internet of Things, its guiding principle for the future development of smart solutions, featuring countless devices connected to each other, to Internet and to users, thanks to state-of-the-art digital technologies. A constantly growing ecosystem of stylistically matched smart products and interconnected systems, compatible with other manufacturers' products, intended to increase simplicity for users and offer them a unique and intuitive user experience, aiming for an eventual horizon of total home automation and Smart lifestyle.
