A huge success for Vimar solutions
After the forced break due to the global medical emergency, the 2021 edition of Smart Building Expo has tallied figures worthy of major events. More than 45,000 visitors in fact flooded the halls of Fiera Milano exhibition centre. An extremely positive signal as to the desire to resume in-person events and rediscover the home and especially the technologically advanced and connected home as a privileged place to live and work.
Vimar took part in the trade fair with a 48 square-metre booth which drew the attention of a massive crowd of qualified visitors, interested in our range of devices for a sophisticated traditional system, for the smart system and for the home automation and Building Automation system
As regards the first item, we allowed the public to touch Quid with their own hands. This magnetic relay patented by Vimar is as reliable and silent as electronic relays, but it is in line with the price bracket of mechanical relays, allowing the simple centralisation of lights and roller shutters.
For the smart system, we exhibited devices designed to make the wiring system of a building connected without having to perform any masonry work, while offering the possibility of controlling lighting and temperature, of raising or lowering roller shutters and sun awnings, monitoring the energy consumption of appliances via App or voice assistant, thereby avoiding tiresome power outages due to overloads. The display also emphasised the new flush mounting vocal control and the matching styling of all the devices which, since they can be paired with the cover plates from the Eikon, Arké and Plana series, blend in seamlessly with any interior design concept and style.
One section of the booth was dedicated to home automation and Building Automation systems, both on our By-me Plus protocol and on KNX standard; wired and professional systems with complete and connected, integrated and expandable functions.
Plenty of space was also set aside for security, for which we offered both a complete, top-performing system also suitable for large video surveillance systems, comprising latest-generation NVRs and cameras, as well as By-alarm, our burglar alarm system.
There was obviously also a broad overview of all the most recent video door entry news, from the new connected video entryphones with 5 and 7 inch displays, through to the various types of external entrance panels.
