Vimar 2024 Report on Sustainability

Towards a more sustainable and responsible future

Vimar is delighted to present the third edition of its Report on Sustainability, a testament to our ongoing commitment to integrating ESG principles into our corporate strategy, thereby fostering responsible development that is mindful of people, the environment and the community. Despite 2024 being a year of significant changes on the European regulatory front and a simplification of sustainability reporting, the company has resolutely chosen the path it has taken, in line with the values and conduct that have always guided it.

The results achieved were measured in the form of concrete indicators that highlight actions taken to reduce the environmental impact. These include: increased use of renewable energy, adoption of eco-friendly production processes, and investment in innovative technologies aimed at modernising operational areas and expanding the photovoltaic park. Following a thorough and customised analysis of processing and raw material streams in the different facilities, a circular model was adopted, focused on minimising consumption and enhancing internal repurposing. 37% of the materials used are from recycled sources, while 20% of the materials used in production and packaging are renewable materials.

At the same time, the company continues to invest in the well-being of its employees and their families with programmes designed to foster professional and personal development. The commitment to the community is also made tangible through educational projects carried out in partnership with schools and universities, with the goal of supporting the training of young talent. The Report also highlights the company's economic performance, reaffirming its financial strength and value creation for shareholders.

In summary, it is important to note how Vimar further strengthened the embedding of sustainability into its business model in 2024, focusing on the most relevant environmental, economic, and social issues. Among the most significant results is the increase in the percentage of waste sent for reclaiming and recycling: the overall average has reached 97%, with three out of four plants achieving 100% reclaiming.

The future goal is to set a new benchmark in the electrical sector, while staying true to design and quality Made in Italy, according to the concept of Positive Energy that drives Vimar’s business actions.
