Vimar wins the Best Packaging 2023 award

Vincita Best Packaging Vimar

Innovation and sustainability clinch it

Vimar has won the Best Packaging 2023 award, which this year is dedicated to Quality Design: the award was bestowed in Milan, on the occasion of Milano Design Week, thanks to Vimar’s innovative Multipack packaging.

The jury considered all the different packaging projects presented, according to the structural size, aesthetics, on-pack information, functions and usage methods, with a particular emphasis on ergonomic, service and performance enhancement.

The Multipack solution presented by Vimar is a sustainable solution in terms of both material and use: it is made from FSC-certified recycled paper, which guarantees that it is sourced from responsibly managed forests and printed with water-based colours.

In addition, this packaging embraces the principles of sustainability and innovation because it was designed to facilitate product distribution and to speed up and simplify unwrapping tasks at the construction site; indeed, thanks to the knockouts in the packaging, the pack can be opened in a jiffy to gain access to 5 pieces simultaneously or divided up, as needed, making the product more user-friendly while optimising work processes.

These are the reasons why the Jury, chaired by Professor Valeria Bucchetti, coordinator of the Communication Design course at Milan Polytechnic University, awarded the Multipack packaging solution:

“The project entails a dimensional balance and printing which offers outstanding graphic results and hard-wearing resistance. The inside of the pack is smooth and coated to avoid damaging product surfaces, thereby reducing breakage and waste. Dedicated knockouts speed up and facilitate opening, making the product more user-friendly while optimising work processes”.
