Contemporary design and Tuscan charm

Its revival was driven by Genius Loci Architettura (GLA) for the architecture and international studio AvroKO for the interior design, successfully reinterpreting its identity through a refined contemporary language in keeping with the highest sustainability standards. Balancing unexpected contrasts and harmonies, the building’s rigorous shell yields to welcoming spaces defined by fluid curves, sophisticated palettes and materials that help craft a cohesive, distinctive narrative. Spanning over 10,000 square metres across nine levels (including three underground floors), the hotel features 119 rooms, including 16 suites and a Penthouse overlooking the Duomo, alongside various amenities for guests and the city, such as a central courtyard, two restaurants, a rooftop and a wellness area. The interior design reimagines Tuscan artistic heritage through graphic elements, colours, textiles and prints inspired by Renaissance architecture. In the guest rooms, luxury furnishings combine rich textures and exquisite decorative patterns, such as the striking lighting installation above each headboard.

The elegance of details

Within this sophisticated dialogue of evocative shades, from deep green and Medici red to royal blue, Vimar’s Eikon Exé series integrates seamlessly. Finished in anthracite grey total look metal with Flat controls, it helps define elegant, contemporary spaces through an understated and rigorous formal language, distinguished by pure lines. The square shape of the controls creates a refined flush-with-the-surface effect with the cover plate, enhanced by colour continuity to deliver a seamless look in keeping with current interior design conventions. Installed vertically within the headboard panelling, it demonstrates its application versatility and natural adaptability to diverse design contexts.

Far more than a simple redevelopment, the W Florence Hotel is a regeneration project that brings new life to a building left disused for decades. Eikon Exé with Flat controls

Impeccable looks and advanced features combine to produce simply extraordinary results. The Eikon Exé wiring series stands out for its design and finishes with high technology solutions devised to evolve side-by-side with lifestyles, making the electrical system unique. It’s designed to be sustainable.

The squared, flat shape of the controls affords a pleasant effect flush with the surface to emphasise the textured appeal of the cover plate. When teamed with the respective Eikon Exé cover plate, they generate an elegant Total Look with simple silhouettes and clean-cut geometries.
