How can the switchboard programming be reset?

The telephone switchboard can be reset to default values in various ways.

A reset can be performed with telephone 41 by means of the following settings: 98 1234 99 R.
This reset operation removes generic programming from the switchboard but does not affect the factory settings or hidden settings.

The second is always performed with telephone 41 by means of the following programming:
98  *##* 55 * * R
This reset operation goes to the heart of the switchboard, eliminating both hidden and generic programming. The factory settings remain unchanged.

If telephone 41 is not accessible and it is not possible to perform the first or the second reset, a manual reset can be performed by means of the following procedure:
a) Disconnect the switchboard from the power supply.
b) Move jumper S2 to the down position (2-3), leaving terminal 1 free.
c) Short circuit terminal 1 of S2 together with terminal 1 of S1.
d) Connect the switchboard to the power supply while maintaining the short circuit between the terminals. After a few seconds a reset click should be heard.
e) If the switchboard requires the presence of both telephone lines, disconnect the switchboard from the power supply and return the jumper S2 to position (1-2).

For articles 35M4, 35M8, 35T4 and 35T7 the manual reset procedure is as follows:
a) Disconnect the switchboard from the power supply.
b) Move jumper S2 to the up position (2-3), leaving terminal 1 free.
c) Short circuit terminal 1 of S2 together with terminal 1 of S1.
d) Connect the switchboard to the power supply while maintaining the short circuit between the terminals. After a few seconds a reset click should be heard.
e) If the switchboard requires the presence of both telephone lines, disconnect the switchboard from the power supply and return the jumper S2 to position (1-2).
