View Wireless App Guide

The View Wireless App

The View Wireless App allows you to configure connected wiring series devices, which are the ideal solution if you want to use smart functions to control lights, roller shutters, temperature and energy, loads and detect presence. Some devices can operate in standalone mode without gateway: this is the case of access and thermostat control devices. Check limits and available functions in each product manual. You can also enable the supervision of a connected system from a video entryphone Tab 5S Up art. 40515 or Tab 7S Up art. 40517 and configure the external entrance panel Due Fili Plus art. 40170.

The devices are preconfigured with the Bluetooth® technology 5.0 standard but can also work exclusively with the Zigbee technology standard by simply modifying the operating standard with a firmware update with the View Wireless App. Zigbee technology requires a third-party Zigbee gateway (for example, Alexia) and can be configured through the relevant app.

The Bluetooth® technology standard is designed to use devices in a mesh network, in which the gateway art. 30807-20597-19597-16497-14597 allows the user to control the system from the View app both locally and remotely and to control the system with voice assistants. On the other hand, with the View Wireless App you will be able to configure a Bluetooth technology system and set all device parameters.

2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connectivity is required to allow connection to the Cloud for supervision (locally and remotely) and for integrations with the Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri and Homekit voice assistants.

You can find the View Wireless App complete manual on https://www.vimar.com/it/it/catalog/product/index/code/30807.B

TYPES OF USERS

The View Wireless App can be used by two types of users: Installer and Administrator (previously registered on MyVIMAR); each system can have only one Installer and one Administrator.

  • The Installer creates the system, configures the devices, manages roles (invites the Administrator if not present) and carries out any required maintenance
  • The Administrator can use the app to edit Wi-Fi credentials, update the gateway firmware, and transfer their Administrator credentials (after doing so they will be removed from the system)

The table shows the Installer and the Administrator’s duties.

CREATING A SYSTEM AND ITS ENVIRONMENTS (INSTALLER only)

Once you register and log on to MyVimar, you will see the app’s Welcome screen.

  1. Select "Create new system" and enter the name you want to assign to the system
  2. Select "Add" and enter the name you want to assign to the environment
  3. If your system requires it, select “Add sub-environment” and enter the name you want to assign to the sub-environment within the environment you just created

Repeat these steps for all environments (and any sub-environments) you wish to create.

ENROLLING DEVICES (INSTALLER only)

After creating the environments enrol all devices; the gateway must always be enrolled at the end because it needs to receive all the programming data entered in the devices.

  1. On the "Environments" screen select the arrow in the top right corner to view the "Devices" screen
  2. Select "Add", choose the environment in which you want to include the device and assign a name to the device
  3. Select the arrow in the top right corner of the screen to confirm

  5. Once the device is enrolled, select the function and set all the relevant parameters

N.B. Different functions will be available depending on the type of device.

CREATING GROUPS (INSTALLER only)

  1. Go to the Home screen to view the list of all systems and select the one you want
  2. Select "Groups" / "Add", choose the environment in which you want to include the group and assign a name to the group
  3. Choose the group function among "Lights", "Various", "Accesses and Presences", "Curtains and Roller Shutters", "Climate Control" and "Energy"; you will see the options relevant to your choice. The group will be displayed in the app as a single object and classified according to these settings

CHANGING SOME OF THE MOST IMPORTANT PARAMETERS (INSTALLER only)

Go to the Home screen to view the list of all systems and select the one you want. LED Colour

  1. Select "Devices" and choose the one for which you wish to change the LED colour
