For the 6600 Series, how many different types of configuration are there and when do I use them?

The video door entry modules and intercoms in the 6600 Series can be programmed in two ways: The "master" configuration is used to program the "main" video door entry module (or intercom) in the system. A video intercom is defined as "main" when: - it is the only Video intercom or Intercom unit in the system. - for a call which is connected to multiple video door entry units: one of them will be identified as "master" and the other (connected to the same call) as "secondary". The "slave" configuration is therefore used to program the "secondary" video intercoms or intercoms.

The video quality is not optimal on some monitors of the system. Do I have to make adjustments to the BUS line?

Yes, you must balance the lines of the system through the selector switch (TV termination) present in intercoms and video intercoms according to their position in the system. The jumper must be set to position A for a non-terminating line, B for a line with a 100 Ohm termination, and C for a line terminated with 50 Ohms (select different endings on each monitor to achieve optimum picture quality).

Is it possible to change the function of a button on the intercom/video door entry module from its factory setting?

Yes. This operation can be carried out with a special 692I/U interface and Saveprog software or programmable time switch art.950C where possible.

When should I use the video distributor part no.692D?

The distributors are used to create branches on the main backbone in the presence of multiple video intercom units. It is important to remember that on each secondary backbone (4 outputs per 692D) generated by the distributor, you shouldn't connect more than 2 monitors in series at a distance not exceeding 20 m.

Can I program intercom calls between intercoms/video intercoms on a system without a separator?

Yes, you can program intercom calls regardless of whether the separator is present or not. Remember that when a call comes from an outdoor station, any intercom conversation is interrupted because of lower priority. The presence of an island (hence a separator) allows intercom calls even if there is a call from the outdoor station to a different intercom/video door entry monitor on the system.

Which By-me control unit software version allows installation of the Elvox Due Fili video intercom system via 01963?

From version 1.11 (if you have a previous version, you need to upgrade the software via the Vimar interface 01998.S and the free EasyTool application downloadable from the Vimar website).

What devices do I need for a system with multiple entrance plates? What is a Concentrator (part no.69MX)?

You must install an 69MX concentrator for systems with multiple entrance plates, if the plates are only for audio communication, then the device is not required. This device balances and distributes the video signal from multiple plates to one or more system monitors. The concentrator is also required when there is an audio/video entrance plate and an 69AM/T video selector.

Is the babywatching feature available on the Due Fili system?

Yes. You need to install a video selector (part no. 69AM/T) which is equipped with 4 audio/video inputs, expandable to sixteen with a maximum three 69AM/T4 supplementary modules. The cameras are turned on manually by pressing a specific button on the Video intercom monitor.

How many outdoor intercoms can be programmed on an island?

You can configure up to 4 outdoor units 20577/14577 for each video door entry unit.

What is an Island in the Due Fili system?

It is an area of the system in which the devices (intercoms/video intercoms/plates) facilitate intercom communication; an example would be a front door unit (part no. 20577) linked with the Video door entry monitors in an apartment, where you want to allow local communication without interrupting any calls made from the Master plate (main outdoor station) to other apartments (islands). The island is electrically separated with a separator (part no. 692S) and a power supply (part no. 6922.1), forming a secondary branch which filters signals transiting along main backbone .

What is a Separator (part no. 692S) and for what is it for?

It is a line coupler that electrically separates one or more branches (islands) from the main line (backbone). Islands comprising several intercoms/video intercoms allow communication without occupying the main backbone line (Master plate).

How many devices can a 6922.1 system power supply service?

The system power supply can support any number of devices in standby (monitor off), but is only able to support a maximum of 2 Video door entry systems during calls. For the simultaneous activation of more devices (3 to 8), add one power supply 6922.1 for each video.

How do I turn a Master Plate into a Slave Plate series 1300?

All plates are placed on the market in Master mode, but to turn them into slaves, just flip the dip-switch located under the keypad.

Can I use the Elvox pre-configured kit plates of the Due Fili system on a generic system?

Yes, most kits are expandable and allow the addition of other Due Fili products.

Do you have to make adjustments to the BUS line?

Yes, it is necessary to terminate the line (termination RC) by placing jumpers on last monitor of the branch. Jumper A1 is for a line that is not terminated, jumper AB is for a 100 ohm-10nF matched line, and the jumper BC for a 50 ohm-10nF matched line (try both options on the monitor in order to verify the best result).

Is it possible to make a group call with the Due Fili system?

Yes. It is possible to address a single call (single button on the plate) to up to 8 intercoms/video intercoms. In advanced programming, you can also specify whether or not to open the video on the video door entry monitors involved in the call.

What are the Maximum characteristics of the Due Fili system?

You can have up to 200 extensions (intercoms and video door entry intercoms), 15 plates or stations (one Master control unit with ID 1 and other 14 Slave plates), up to 16 independent pillars, 16 auxiliary functions.

What is the maximum distance between the plate and intercoms/video door entry intercoms?

The maximum distance between the plate and the last monitor should not exceed 300 meters.

What is the fundamental element of the system?

The key element that governs the control unit is the Master plate. Then comes the 6922.1  system power supply.unit.

How can I program the Due Fili video door entry system?

It can be carried out in three modes manually for basic configurations, using the appropriate buttons in the devices, through a PC with Saveprog Software and the 692I/U interface or through the Elvox interface art.950C where possible.

Is it possible to connect the devices in a star configuration?

Yes for intercom systems (audio only). No for video door entry systems (audio/video), these require specific devices such as video distributors and/or concentrators.

Is there an "Open Door" alert on the video door entry monitor?

Yes, you have to wire an NO (normally open) contact (When the lock is closed) internal to the electric lock to the PA and M input to terminals of the plate). When the door is open, the green LED on the monitor turns on.

Is it possibly to deploy the number of internal stations later?

Yes, you can simply work from the pillar without having to wire additional cables to the power supply.

For a DigiBUS system, is a 2-wire cable sufficient?

No, the video door entry pillar comprises 6 wires + coaxial, while the connection between the power supply and the outdoor station comprises at least 8 wires + coaxial, according to the position of the outdoor station (single main, in parallel with others, at the bottom of the stairwell, etc.).

How much power does the Vimar Digibus Video door entry draw?

The Video door entry system draws 200 mA in a call, 150 mA with the monitor turned on but not in a call, and 15 mA in standby.

Why it is preferable to choose a DigiBUS system over Sound System?

The DIGIBUS allows greater flexibility with respect to the maximum number of users. Generally for more than ten apartments in the same complex, you should use the DigiBUS Video door entry system as, unlike Sound System, it does not require a call return cable in the outdoor station for each apartment. In the DigiBUS system, the identification of the devices and commands is digital.

To activate DigiBUS system, is it strictly necessary to have the ELVOX 950B programmer?

No, if you do not need any special functions, you don't need to change the programmed settings.

While communicating with the outdoor station, I hear a whistling sound.

Check the volume levels on the trimmer located on the power supply or the one found on the outdoor camera. If you are using cameras or external units with an "extendable microphone" (e.g., Elvox part no. 559B or 930) install the microphone so that there is no Larsen effect.

For a call from an outdoor station, the Video intercom unit turns on, but there is no audio communication with the outside.

The audio system is an "Intercom" type system and so to activate the audio, you have to press and hold the D key on the monitor. Check the connections and volume adjustments by adjusting the trimmers on the power supply and the external station.

When I press the "lock" switch for the pedestrian gate, it does not work.

Check that other buttons for opening the gate aren't stuck.

The image on the monitor is ghosting or is distorted.

Make sure that the monitor has at least a 75 ohms resistance added, if there is an ELVOX part no. 6554 video distributor, check that all outputs V1-V2-V3-V4 are loaded with 75 ohm resistors connected to the monitors at the V and M terminals, or on the unused outputs. The last connected distributor must be loaded with a 75 ohm resistor connected to the V terminal.

When a call is made, the monitor remains off.

Check the monitor power supply on terminals 5 and 6, check that the monitor rings for calls from the outdoor station or check that the power supply generates the call tone: connect a 50-100 ohm speaker between terminals 6 and 8 of the monitor and make a call from the outdoor station. If you have installed monitors that turn on simultaneously with the same call, use an Elvox call repeater part no. 934 after the third monitor and for the next four.

When calling from the outdoor unit, the monitor rings and lights up, but there is no video.

Check the connection on terminals V and M of the monitor, check the signal from the camera and verify that it is powered.

The audio breaks up on the outdoor station, why?

The P2 volume on the 6680 power supply for Sound System is set to maximum, it should be lowered.

When speaking with the outdoor station through the monitor, it is difficult to hear even when the volume is set to maximum.

For Sound System, adjust the outdoor station. On the back of the camera there is a potentiometer covered by a sticker which has "internal volume" written on the side. Adjust the potentiometer to increase and decrease the volume.

The bell on the monitor is difficult to hear even when I increase the volume to maximum.

You have to use the call repeater 2/841 for Sound System.

The audio is weak on the Vimar Video door entry module and inaudible on the Vimar Intercom (20555), why?

It means that the Elvox 6560 speakerphone is not present or it is not connected.

The volumes of the Sound System 20555 speakerphones are very weak, but not on the Vimar Video door entry module, why?

Check that the input and output connects on the Elvox 6560 are not reversed or that the speakerphone has not been installed inversely.

The volumes of the Sound System 20555 speakerphones and Vimar Video door entry module are very weak, why?

Check that the speaker wires on the Elvox 6560 are not reversed or that the speakerphone has not been installed inversely.

Is the 6560 Speakerphone also used for the Elvox DigiBUS and Due Fili video door entry modules?

No, it is only required for Sound System technology with intercoms (part no. 20555 - 20555.N - 20555.B - 14555 - 14555.SL).

What is the 6560 Speakerphone and what is it for? Does it always have to be installed with the Vimar intercom in Sound System?

The ELVOX part no. 6560 serves to integrate Vimar Intercoms (part no. 20555 - 20555.N - 20555.B - 14555 - 14555.SL) in Sound System and should be installed as close as possible to the Elvox power supply, connecting it according to the wiring schemes provided and upstream of the other devices installed.
