A camera with "Day & Night" function is able to capture normal colours in conditions of adequate lighting (daytime light conditions). When available light is low (night-time light conditions), the sensitivity of the camera can be increased by using infrared viewing. This is done by removing the infrared blocking filter used to achieve good colour output.
